Our Programs

Providing hope and support for people living with lung disease.

LungNSPEI provides programs and services to support Nova Scotians and Islanders in managing and preventing lung disease. One in five people in our provinces are currently struggling to breathe. In order to help prevent lung disease and help people cope with their diagnosis, we provide support groups, equipment programs, lung transplant support, smoking cessation programs, and send kids with lung disease to summer camp. We also fund local respiratory research, host air quality workshops, advocate for lung health issues, create radon awareness programs, and more.

COVID-19

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, people with lung health issues continue to be at higher risk. Work is also being done to help understand the long-term impacts of COVID-19.

Smoking continues to be the number one cause of preventable disease and death. Programs and resources are available to help people on their quit journey.

Support Groups-01.jpg

Support Groups

Lung disease can be frightening and can cause anxiety and feelings of loneliness. Our support groups can provide helpful information and connection with others who are also coping with lung disease.
