Quit Strong

The objective of this program is to reach out to low-income individuals who are struggling with multiple addictions to ensure they are supported in their quit smoking journey.  The results of this pilot program will be shared with stakeholders and used to support our ongoing case to the NS Government to offer a quit smoking program that provides both NRT’s and counselling to smokers in Nova Scotia.

We expect to reach a quit rate of 30% and to reduce the number of cigarettes smoked by 75% of participants.

Ultimately, we hope to have a accessible and standard quit smoking program in NS to help reduce smoking rates that is based on evidence.
