Emergency BiPAP Backup Battery Loan Program

Thanks to the City of Charlottetown's Community Sustainability Microgrant, we now have a limited supply of BiPAP/CPAP backup batteries to loan out in emergency weather situations.

Our goal is to to protect the lives of individuals in Charlottetown living with lung disease who rely on life-saving BiPAP machines. These individuals are especially vulnerable during emergencies involving power outages, whether sheltering at home or in emergency shelters

These batteries will be loaned to those at highest risk, prioritizing individuals with lower-income, and limited mobility or access to emergency services in Charlottetown. These batteries will be returned to us, ensuring they can continue to be utilized in emergency situations.
