Stair Heroes 2023

Stair Heroes is a unique, stair climb held at Scotia Square Mall in Halifax.  Together we will STEP-UP for the 1 in 5 Canadians living with lung disease and raise critical awareness and funds for the Lung Association of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Our hero theme is based on our partnership with Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency. Our community heroes will be joining us and climbing the 36 flights in full fire fighting gear to show their support of lung health! We encourage everyone to register and participate (early bird registration fee of $25) and to help raise critical donations. Our top three fundraisers will win prizes:

• $1000 travel voucher for 1st place fundraiser
• $500 travel voucher for 2nd place fundraiser
• $250 travel voucher for 3rd place fundraiser

We will have one main wave for climbers. We will also have some special challenge categories for emergency services personnel, political leaders, gyms, and the media. There will also be a special category for our firefighters, who make the climb in full gear!

If you still want to support our event but cannot attend in person an honorary registration category will be available for you, simply pay the registration fee and start collecting donations. Companies and organizations can also sponsor teams of employees as an excellent team building activity!

Dress up in your team colours, wear uniforms, office T’s, or in honour of someone you know living with lung disease…. Whatever you choose, it's all about having fun. Registration fees include; a participation medal, swag bag, light refreshments and entertainment for the entire family.  Scotia Square will be bustling with activities for the kids, music and special guests. All participants will receive a unique URL that you can use to raise pledges easily; share to your social media, email colleagues, friends, it’s that easy!  We encourage you to personalize your fundraising page with a photo and a personal story. Top fundraisers will receive prizes. Our goal is that each participant has fun and does their absolute best to raise an average of $200 each in pledges.
